The LG washer OE error means the washer is having trouble draining water. The first things to check are the drain hose and drain pump filter. Make sure the hose isn’t kinked or blocked, then clean the filter and check for coins, lint, small clothing items, or other debris around the pump impeller.
If the filter is clear but the washer still won’t drain, the drain hose, sump hose, or drain pump itself may be blocked or faulty. A failed pump can also trigger the OE code.
Before working on the washer, unplug it and be prepared for water to come out when opening the filter. If cleaning the filter doesn’t solve the problem, the pump and drain system should be tested.
